Reading Greens for Research Green

We hope you'll join Power Links and the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research!

This year, the outing will take place at Big Run Golf Club in Lockport, IL on Friday, August 28th, 2009 with check-in beginning at 11am. Players will be following a scramble format, which is easy and fun for players of all skill levels. Both men and women are welcome to participate.

When: Friday, August 28^th, 2009 (11am registration, 1pm shotgun start)

Where: Big Run Golf Club in Lockport, IL

Food, drinks, networking, and a silent auction will follow your round, and prizes will be awarded to select participants and contest winners. The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation is a private, non-profit organization that is committed to gathering funds to further research programs to diagnose, treat and prevent cancer. Programs and trials take place at the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center, who are renowned for there excellent reputation and commitment to furthering our knowledge of cancer.

The UCCRF has enabled the Research Center to purchase things like state of the art equipment and laboratory facilities. In turn, this has allowed for more fellowships for young scientists and given the distinguished researchers the resources to generate the important research to further our knowledge of these diseases.
